Last night we had a spinach fritta and leftover chicken wings. Nothing special, but I used up some things.
Tonight, I plan on grilling some chicken and making a salad with blue cheese crumbles( I think).
I pulled chicken from the freezer and a steak. So some version of that will be on the dinner menu.
So far, the biggest thing about eating low carb is not craving sweets. Also, I don’t have anything to snack on anyway. I do plan on going into Trader Joe’s and getting some dark chocolate, which is ok on low carb. I’m also still having my evening wine, so there is that. I can’t give up everything!!:)
I miss toast for breakfast and sandwiches, but I do feel a bit different not eating the bread, so I’m willing to go a bit longer in the experiment. I do plan on checking out the keto bread at Costco when I go, but not sure if I want that kind of bread.
Today, I’m going down to Mahany gym as I didn’t go last week due to the holiday and all. Then drop a book off at the library. I don’t have any holds, so I may check out the new books.
Once home, I do need to do a few Monday reset chores, like vacuuming with the Dyson. I usually send Robo around, but at least once a week, it still needs the other vacuuming. Also, deep clean the kitchen, especially the stove hood. I’ll see how far I get.
I plan on swimming one day or two this week, just not sure which days. It’s so nice not having appts. I am really thankful for that. Not that I have that many, but sometimes it feels that way. Maybe it’s still some PTS with ALL the appts Barclay had the last 6 months of his life. It was really overwhelming looking back at it.
