Southern Fried Tofu
this is what we have every Easter. Southern Fried Tofu with a tartar sauce and other fixings.
you must use very firm tofu. I use Wildwood. Cut in small long rectangles. Then you have a bowl of eggs whipped upped and a bowl of breadcrumbs mixed with grated parmesan. Then dip in egg batter and then dip in the bread batter. I use a canola oil to fry in. Just make it about 1/4 ” deep of oil. Be sure it’s hot. Put in pan and fry away.
