This is our neighbor’s
house after a tree fell on it last night.
Fortunately, he wasn’t hurt but it was difficult to get to the front door. Glass all over, rain pouring in.
I called PGE and a tree company. They responded immediately and got the tree cut up. PGE said he couldn’t get the power back on as the box was ‘arcing’ so it needs an electrician.
What a mess!! thankfully no one was hurt. But Leo(who is 92) will need to move out probably for at least 2-3 months.
I’m more convinced than ever to take more trees down.
I’m still kinda upset and feel all adrenalined.
My daughter was a big help and cleaned up a lot of the glass. She decided to head up to Truckee even though it’s snowing. Hopefully, she’ll make it but coming home later could be another story.

Your poor neighbor. So sad that he has to deal with this at his age. I hope he has some family who will help him. He’s lucky to have you as neighbors. I’m glad it wasn’t your house. Probably a good idea to reevaluate the tree situation. I think we should too. Hope you have no more excitement for a while. Take care
