Tuesday , back to the library.

It’s a beautiful day. My walk had the full moon sitting in the sky and made it pretty at 6:15.

I’ve got crock pot spaghetti sauce going so dinner is almost done. Then I need to do a little tidying and get lunch ready.  When we went to target yesterday, I bought a new garden hat to keep the sun off my face. With my medications, I can’t be out in the sun or I’ll get a rash. Then some new clippers, and seeds. Also , a table cloth I’m using in the pantry as a new cover. I’ll post the picture after it’s uploaded.

My daughter got the potatoes planted so hopefully they’re ok. We need to keep up on watering as we are not getting rain.

Last week finished ” The Cuckoo’s Calling”. Really pretty good. Now I’m reading a mindless ” Irish Eyes” sort of detective story. It’s okay not much substance but ok.

There are 2 bloggers I follow regularly, I’d like to mention. RV sue, is a woman who lives full time in her Casita trailer traveling and boon docking with her two lovely dogs. She’s really an inspiration, very down to earth. No pretenses or showiness. Just a great person to be admired for living her dream. Then I also adore , mockingbirdhill.com , she’s my age and lives in a sweet cottage in New York. She really writes straight from the heart. Today she was blogging about getting older and still feeling young on the inside . How true.

Getting stuff done!

So it’s Thursday ,and I’m filling in at the library for a few hours. It’ll be good as I lost the shift on Saturday since we were closed. So that’s ok.

Right now I just started red potatoes for mashed potatoes for dinner, and I’m going either going to do chicken or turkey. I won’t be home till 5 so I like it to be done. Then I’ll have left overs for freezing or another meal.

Exciting news, I maybe getting my bread maker today. I read thru a lot of blogs and decided I didn’t need the most expensive(Zorushi ) sp? . So I looked at all the reviews and found one with excellant reviews. I could keep checking the thrift store .as I did find one there before. But our goodwill is a mad house for hoarders and things are picked over quickly and even when they are still in the large bins coming out. I really can’t stand that grab, grab, mentality. I’d rather just pay for it. In this case it’s being shipped by Walmart for almost nothing. So it’s a win win. I don’t have to go into a store. Mostly I decided after readin some blogs to use it primarily for dough and then bake in my new William Sonoma pans. I’m excited to try it.

then I have some apples and am going to make a crisp. Otherwise, no one is going to eat them.

Yesterday, I worked on the closet for about 5 minutes. Pulled out the electric heaters. They are very dusty inside so not sure if I’ll use them. We really only have this one closet, sad I know, so it does have to hold a lot.

I got my cash for food yesterday and non food. Since I spent so much at Costco last week I decided to try and get by with $200 for food. We’ll see. The budget looks good, although, one Bill a special fire tax assessment still hasn’t come out. I paid it on the 7 th so I’m not sure what the hold up is. Maybe I’d better call. Also, I moved $300 to our small savings, this is for odds and ends and whatevers.  We’re still processing extra payments on things or save. I think for now any extra we will save at least thru Christmas.

B is thinking of trading the elantra for a Sante Fe, so we have something to pull the tent trailer. that means probably  a down payment of some sort.

We keep talking about a different trailer ,but they’re all expensive. But we do want a hard body with a bathroom. So, we will just keep processing for now.

Busy Monday !

So, walked 2 miles. It was a chilly 38 degrees. Whew!

Then home and accomplished alot.

Did the bathroom zone.

made nut and cheese loaf:Image

Then a batch of sour cream mashed potatoes to freeze.

Tidied the house, did flylady’s home blessing.

then I collapsed…. But got most of what I Wanted done.

oh, I spent money too. Bath and body had some great deals plus $1 shipping and 20% off. I always use these as Christmas gifts so, I’ve got a good start on Christmas gift bags.

And it is another beautiful fall day!

Walking….

Today is day 107 walking . Pretty good. I’d really like to add an extra .5 mile but with rev/dex it’s aliitle hard to do .  But overall it’s great.

we had an estimate on one of our more dangerous trees and the bid is $1075, plus the crane fee. I think it’s very fair as this includes chipping and clean up. So sometime in October it will get done. Hurray. Maybe next year we can budget the really big tree.

B is off the New Mexico for the week tomorrow , and Tuesday starts my 5 days working. I’m just going to glide thru and then rest when I come home. It should be fine.

We’ve been watching season 5 of doc Martin , it’s so great to see that scenery in northern England. It’s a great series if your looking for something new. Most libraries probably have it.

I just started reading Elizabeth Berg’s new book, OMG, it is also great. She’s a very good writer who really explores how most of us feel at some time or another and weaves it into a story.

B has just about wrapped painting all the outside buildings and trim. A very big job!

tonight is roast turkey breast, and baked potatoes,I had frozen. If your looking for A great freezer idea, double stuffed potatoes are terrific. I cut the potatoes in half , then it’s more like a side dish. I’ll steam some broccoli on the side.

I’m finally coming out of the dex haze, hurray….
