Saw the oncologist yesterday and all is well in myelomaville.
My Labs are almost identical to last time so that’s a relief. I’ll have labs in 6 weeks and then 6 weeks after that and then have an appointment with him.
Very exciting to still be doing well and in remission.
We went to Trader Joes after the appointment and stocked up on lots of goodies. I even bought a couple of frozen pizzas just so when on some Friday night pizza I don’t feel like making it. I also bought a cauliflower crust to try for a gluten-free one. I stocked up on a few spices I needed and olives ,tomato sauce, and nuts.
I do wish there was a TJ’s closer, but since we’re coming back from Sacramento, it’s right off the freeway so quite convenient.
I might go to the gym since yesterday I didn’t go but I may just stay home and putter around. I have some sweet potatoes cooking for lunches or dinners. Plus I made a small chopped veggie tray for snacking.
Tonight is pizza night.
Whoohoo Christina! So excited for you! How long have you been off meds? Just crazy how MM morphs so differently with all of us! I just rolled over to 8 years, but most of that has been in treatment. I just had a small Rev maint break for about 9 mos half of 2012 into 2013, and then my IgA type MM roared back, and I’ve been on various treatments since then (not sure if you still follow my blog?) Anyway, so happy for you, and I know you have several years beyond me! Keep up the good work, and your healthy lifestyle I’m sure is contributing to suppressing MM. I wish I was well enough to do all the walking and minimizing you do! I’ve been so sick since 12/28, I am now just slowly taking down my holiday decorations lol. Happy New Year, and stay well and healthy! Congrats!! :)) Julie
It is really great. February 1 st is my 12th anniversary of my SCT. It seems like a long time ago but I remember it as if it was yesterday. the absolute worst experience of my life. I am reading your blog and love your writing and am happy you are doing well on this treatment plan.
Yay for good results!!!
Thank you, I am grateful for every.single.day.
