Here’s a sampling of fall colors around our house.

Rubi parked for the winter.

one last iceberg rose.

Mr. Chester in the sunroom.

I’ve been having a terrible time getting my sourdough right. I’m not sure if it’s the weather(cooler) or what. But I finally decided to go back to the expert, Tartine. And it came out perfect. It is more work and more involved than no knead but worth it.

Today, I’m going to get an x-ray of my knee. The doctor said possibly arthritis but I said well, I certainly didn’t have any symptoms before I fell off the step ladder. He concurred it could be a meniscus tear. Hopefully just resting it will make the difference. I got the compression knee thing yesterday and it does help. I do plan on going to the gym but only to do upper-body weights. No treadmill yet.
Beautiful trees. Ours are mostly bare now except for the beech and the odd one here and there. We have had a couple of light dustings of snow already so………here it comes.
We haven’t had any big rains yet so the trees are keeping most of their leaves. the cool nights and warm days are really turning the leaves this year.
Gorgeous fall color! Hope they come up with an easy so.union for you knee.
the xray only showed minor arthritis, which I suspected, so torn meniscus seems to be the answer. I have a knee brace and he gave me corisone shot so it feels 100% better and I walked 1/2 mile yesterday.
Fantastic to have relief and answers
I hope you have positive results from your doctor’s visit.
It was a very good dr visist. a nice young man who listened.
